Second edition, May 1969, of the legendary Andy Warhol exhibition catalogue published by Moderna Museet, Stockholm, following Warhol's groundbreaking 1968 museum exhibition.

Edited by Andy Warhol, Kasper König, Pontus Hultén and Olle Granath, with typography and production by John Melin and Gösta Svensson. Printed in Sweden by Sydsvenska Dagbladets AB.

A seminal Warhol publication and one of the most important artist-designed exhibition catalogues of the 1960s. The book combines extensive black-and-white photographic sequences of Warhol's works, Factory life, films, friends and collaborators with selections of Warhol quotations in English and Swedish. The visual structure, repetition, inexpensive newsprint-like paper and mass-media aesthetic closely reflect Warhol's artistic language.

Original flexible wrappers printed overall with Warhol's iconic Flowers motif.

Second edition, May 1969.

Condition: Good. Binding remains intact and the book is complete as far as can be determined from inspection. Pages show the characteristic overall age-toning common to this publication. Covers show rubbing, edge and corner wear. *Front cover has a conspicuous area of surface loss/abrasion with apparent old repair or adhesive residue at center** as shown clearly in photographs. Additional general handling wear. An unrestored-looking working copy of a notoriously fragile and highly collectible publication.

Approximately 600+ unnumbered pages, extensively illustrated throughout.

The original catalogue is recognized as an important photobook as well as a Warhol publication; dealer descriptions cite it in The Photobook: A History, Volume I by Parr and Badger
