Earthstars: The Visionary Landscape—Part One: London, City of Revelation, by Christopher E. Street. Hermitage Publishing, London, 2000. First edition, first printing. Hardcover in the original illustrated dust jacket; 302 pages. Profusely illustrated throughout with photographs, maps and sacred-geometric diagrams.
Signed, inscribed and dated by the author on the dedication page: "Even on the Earth we walk amongst stars!"—Chris Street, July 24th 2004. Accompanied by the original Hermitage Publishing sales invoice bearing an additional handwritten message signed by Street, as well as the publisher's illustrated prospectus and order form.
In this unusual and extensively researched work, Street examines the geometric relationships connecting London's historic churches, monuments and sacred sites—including Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. He proposes that their locations form an enormous symbolic temple plan related to Stonehenge, ancient sacred geometry, William Blake and the New Jerusalem described in the Book of Revelation.
Fine hardcover in a Fine dust jacket. A clean, bright and firmly bound copy with a crisp interior. The unclipped dust jacket is likewise exceptionally well preserved. A scarce signed first edition made particularly desirable by the accompanying author-signed invoice and original publisher's material. Please examine the photographs for further details.
