Scarce English-language edition of Olga von Ungern-Sternberg's esoteric study of the Grail legends, translated from the German by Sylvia and Paul F. Botheroyd. Published in Delhi by B. Jain Publishers, apparently in 1989 and believed to be the first English edition.
The author explores Parzival, Gawain, Glastonbury, Rosicrucian symbolism, Hermetic imagery, astrology, planetary consciousness and the Grail as a path of spiritual initiation. Illustrated throughout with symbolic and historical images. 124 pages plus bibliography and translator's note. Blue laminated hardcover lettered and decorated in gilt; issued without a dust jacket.
Condition: Very Good. Binding firm and complete. Pages moderately age-toned, as commonly found with this Indian printing. Covers show light rubbing, surface marks and minor wear at the corners and spine ends.
