The West Coast Now: Current Work from the Western Seaboard.
Portland Art Museum, February 9 - March 6, 1968.
Scarce original exhibition catalog documenting an important late-1960s survey of emerging West Coast conceptual and post-minimal artists.
Artists included in the exhibition include Ed Ruscha and Bruce Nauman. The catalog illustrates Ruscha's painting Engineer (1967) and includes Nauman's seminal work The True Artist Is an Amazing Luminous Fountain, one of the artist's earliest and most iconic conceptual pieces.
Softcover exhibition catalog with black-and-white illustrations.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with some wear to the covers from age and handling. Interior pages clean and well preserved.
A desirable early document of the West Coast conceptual art scene of the 1960s and an increasingly hard-to-find museum publication.
